Last night I saw an awesome show @ Clearwater. I went for Before Summer Ends, but the other bands were very good too.

The bangle bracelet is made from a toothbrush. I thought it was a sweet idea, but it is a little more difficult than the magazine made it sound. I bought a pack of 5 from the dollar store, and this is the only one I didn't break.

Urban Excursion

I went to Chicago on friday to see Factory Girl. It was amazing. It needs more publicity I think. Not very many people know about it.

I bought some shoes at the Alley for $6!
Exciting.
It was obnoxiously cold outside.
On the plus side, I love my city, just being in it.
I got to visit my favorite area, and walk past the street I want to live on.

I got some boss stencils from Urban Outfitters and used them on my sketchbook and t-shirt.
I like the way it turned out, especially the book.

The Science of Sleep...or lack thereof

I have a new favorite movie - The Science of Sleep. My best friend and I happened to pick it up @ blockbuster one day and fell in love. We had to go and buy it, and have been watching it over and over since. It is so artsy. I highly reccomend it.
One of the characters makes little stuffed animals that are so boss! I watched an interview w/ the real artist behind it. It makes me want to go make things myself. That little dog is a summer project... my only succesful stuffed critter this far.

As for the lack of sleep portion of my title, please note the picture of the energy drinks. Caffine never keeps me awake. So, while my fellow art students are kicking back double shots, I fall asleep on my drawings. Then, I discovered a solution! My friend brought home two cases of Max Velocity energy drinks that she got for free. I drank 3 cans, thinking it would do nothing to me, but that night I was able to stay wide awake and get my project done, then fall asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. No wierd side affects or hyperactivity. YES!

Long time, no blog

hmm. I have not posted anything for a while.

I did a button order for a band called the Satellite Picture Show. 100 buttons. It was a lot of fun.

These are some paintings from senior year. Edie Sedgewick, Audrey Hepburn, and Twiggy.
There is a movie out now called Factory Girl. It is about Edie Sedgewick, and all those other fun people who hung out in the factory w/ Andy Warhol. I really want to see it, but it is so hard to find a theatre that has it around here!

Today my shop teacher told me I have a 'ska style'. It's been a while since I heard anyone mention ska.
He liked my black and white wing tip shoes.
