A Little More Time

Hello Hello! Just popping in for a little update. I am still in the middle of crazy finals stuff. Just two and a half more weeks till the end of the semester. Here is some of my most recent work:

Barb and I decided to do a little reminiscing in the dollar spot @ Target. We each got some really sweet dinosaur stuff.

And then I found something absolutely amazing!!!

BUBBLE GUM ICE CREAM!!
Hooray! This is the first time I have ever seen Bubble Gum ice cream in a store! This stuff is super hard to find. I refuse to go to Coldstone and have them mix gum balls into vanilla, it is not the same, and Baskin Robbins only has it seasonally, and very rarely even then. So, this is a very exciting development (even if it isn't as good as Baskin Robbins.)

::Sigh:: Back to work.

Mushaboom

Has anyone been wondering what I ended up doing with my crocheted mushrooms? Ta-da!

It is nearly 3 feet tall! As you can see, it is much larger than the original guys.

School is pretty crazy right now. Only a few weeks to go, tons of papers to right, tests to take, and art to make.

The View From the Afternoon

I had a wonderful afternoon today. Rachel, Barb, & I went to Chicago to see the Henry Darger Exhibit. If you don't know much about Henry Darger, you should really check him out. Basically, he was a Janitor, who lived alone, and had no family. When he died, the landlord began clearing out his apartment, which he had inhabited for about 40 years, and they discovered that he had written a 15,000 page novel and had piles of illustrations for it. The exhibit was amazing! They re-created part of his apartment inside of the gallery.

After that we decided to walk around for a bit, and we found this:

The Boring Store! It is a really cool 'spy supply store' where all the money goes to benefit their free tutoring service and writing workshops for inner city kids in Chicago. I bought this awesome tote bag.
