I Should Have Known Better

Sam just sent me a link to this page with pictures from the set of the upcoming Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland and they look spectacular!






Does that look like CGI to you? Nope! You may recall where I talked about the movie being entirely CGI, well thankfully that rumor was mistaken. The cast is amazing, and Danny Elfman has signed on for the soundtrack.

I am very, very excited about this movie.



This past weekend I went home to celebrate my mom's birthday and somehow I walked away with a gift.



My mom got this for me at some game exchange at work. Pretty sweet.

Way too much work to do this week.

Make You Smile

I hope that these little gnome/mushroom cupcakes make you smile. I made a batch on Friday because I had a lot of people coming over, and then Hannah told me I should make more to enter in the dorm baking contest. (Judging is tomorrow night so I'll let you know how I do.)

I've been doing some interesting print work lately by rubbing acetone on the back of images printed on a laser printer.








I'm still experimenting right now. All of those were done with me having no idea what they were going to look like when I peeled off the paper. I really like where it is going.

Change Is Hard

As you can see, I have been making many changes to my blog using this website. It is really difficult though and I still have to tweak a lot. It requires changing things in the html code, and I am not really sure what I am doing. Does anyone know how I can get there to be a space between the left column and the center? I also am trying to edit the banner size.

A lot of my friends were talking about V for Vandetta today because it is the 5th of November. Ryan had an interesting post featuring a John Lennon song on the subject.

I smell like smoke right now because I went to a bonfire @ Sam's. I like the smell, just not when it follows me around for hours after. Also my eyes kind of burn, but Tyler gave me a whole bunch of Domo Kun display items from Target.





And that's not even all of them! I haven't really got enough room to put them all up, but I am super stoked. Our room is gonna look boss.

I was surprised today that I didn't hear that many angry discussions about the election. I go to a school that is mostly conservative republicans, so I expected to hear a lot more complaining than I did. Then again, the week is young.
